Every single person falls under one of the four categories listed on this poster. Whether they’re a Thinker, Doer, Watcher, or Drainer, we’ve been able to identify the four different contribution types after years of reverse engineering and researching how businesses work and operate. 

And in order to have a functional business, you need to have the right people on your team!

Using this poster, pay attention to the types of people you have on your team…

Thinkers think. They’re inquisitive, have (generally) good ideas, and they (almost always) ask quality questions. 

Doers… do! They’re always the first ones to get started on a task and work diligently to accomplish their goals. But be mindful of “reckless doers”. 

Then we have the Watchers, who like to watch. They prefer to observe rather than provide insight or work to achieve their targets. While being observant is a good thing, just being observant is not. 

And finally… we have the Drainers. They’re the bottlenecks of the company—the ones that drain your energy, patience, and resources. It’s important to recognize who the drainers are so that you can work together to improve their performance or transition them away from the company. 

In all, every company will have a good mix of the top 3, with a small percentage of the bottom one (the Drainers). Use this poster to help you identify who’s who within your organization!
